Towns End Bindery<p>Ubik by PKD<br>⏰⏳📺</p><p>Here’s a reel that depicts what I intended to be the overall experience of holding and opening this book. The dust cover depicts the Ubik and the advertisement on the back in relatively normal fashion, only to be revealed as distorted and regressed once the dust cover is removed. It was a LOT of work: Hand painted end papers, original cover design, original typeset (made in MS Word), custom vintage advertisements, hand sewn endbands, and chisel-trimmed fore edge. </p><p>And when all was said and done, I found a glaring typo while flipping through the finished product. 😮‍💨</p><p>Oh well. Kinda-sorta works OK if it's just about this one website you're building, but what if it's every fucking thing in your life?
