VegPlotter
Tomatoes were once thought poisonous—now they’re a garden staple! Originally from South America, they’ve travelled the globe to land on our plates. Want juicy, sweet fruit? Tip: remove the lower leaves & sideshoots, and water deeply but infrequently to encourage strong roots. #Tomatoes #Gardening

Tom
I'm still a week or more out from planting anything. I might have to up-pot some plants into gallon pots. I trimmed the basil and put some of that in water to root. Jalapenos are looking funky, might just be bad genetic plants, I don't need any hot peppers and these are extremely hot jalapenos and not the mild kind they were suppose to be. Sweet peppers look good. Colin Purrington
Yesterday I decided the forecast looked relatively safe (low risk of sub-50 °F nights), so I transplanted my tomatoes. I used a post-hole digger to make an 18" hole, then filled with compost from home. Colin Purrington
We've entered that awkward time of the year when tomatoes enjoy being outside during the day but ask to be brought back inside when temps are low. Very annoying.
