Devorppa<p>When I first watched the <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Terminator" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Terminator</span></a> movie, I thought (at that time, back in the 1980s) that it was clearly not a good outcome and should be avoided (obviously).</p><p>At that time, I would have never imagined that in the lead up to a Terminator scenario a bunch of right wing fuckwits would have been the ones paying for and overseeing the <a href="https://aus.social/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> development that allowed a Terminator scenario to actually arise. I had always thought the AI would have escaped from ‘well meaning’ scientists.</p><p>Now, when I look back at the Terminator movie, I think the popular take out message should have been:</p><p>‘kill every <a href="https://aus.social/tags/billionaire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>billionaire</span></a>, especially those who would fund AI development’.</p>
