raccoon
I’m burnt the absolute fuck out. It’s pretty bad. It’s happened before. Usually it’s obvious why. This time is different though. There’s no toxic culture to move on from. There’s no incompetent manager making me clean up their messes. I think the problem is that for the first time in my career, I actually care. I really truly care. I care about the project I’m working on, it’s something that I’ve been dreaming of for years. I care about the people on my teams, they are extremely intelligent and more importantly they are genuinely compassionate towards each other. I’m not really sure where to go from here. I took some time off. It’ll no doubt not be enough. But it’s a start I guess. Maybe I need advice. Maybe I just need commiseration. What I know I’m looking for though is a community. And that’s why I’m here. I’ll update my bio and make a proper #introduction post later, but to start just needed to get this off my chest and out there. From some context I’m a #techlead in #infosec at a #fintech
