Tater Tot Hotdish (a Midwest comfort food tradition) -- which I did not know existed until 10 minutes ago. <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/tater" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tater</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/tots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tots</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/food" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>food</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/recipe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>recipe</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/tatertots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tatertots</span></a> <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQp3maHZSgk" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=NQp3maHZSg</span><span class="invisible">k</span></a></p>
`Da Elf<p>I learned the history of "Tater Tots" today (after midnight, counts) with <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mstdn.social/@juliewebgirl" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>juliewebgirl</span></a></span>.</p><p>TL;DR - Invented in the Pacific Northwest by a company called Ore-Ida, a concatenation of "Oregon" and "Idaho", in Ontario, Or. The owners were figuring out what to do with potato slivers from other parts of their process. Adding flour and seasonings and frying them, the Tot was born. Lockdownyourlife<p>Sometimes I'm a foodie making amazing pasta dishes, other nights it's veggie burgers and Tater Tots. This week has been a lot. Migraines, loss of a pet, and general shitfuckery of the internet. 🙄</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/foodie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>foodie</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/TaterTots" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TaterTots</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/cooking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cooking</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/grief" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>grief</span></a></p>
