Back-to-Back Albums HOF (imho) ...

Ghost In the Machine (1981)
Synchronicity (1983)
-- The Police

There's an alternate universe out there where 'Mother' gets traded for either 'Hole In My Life' or 'Masoko Tanga' - not sure 'Mother' belongs on ANY album, but it certainly would fit better on Outlandos.

Mondays!!

Today I was working about 45 minutes drive to the west of where I live. Between jobs I ducked into a cafe and about 5 minutes later a guy walks in who I know. I haven't seen him since before covid and he lives a further 45 minutes west of where we were. A pretty random meeting which made my Monday something quite wonderful 🙂

Fun little bit of #synchronicity today. As I was filling out paperwork at the optometrist (where I’m still stuck, it’s a process), I could not for the life of me remember the first name of my PCP.

Just then, the receptionist called out “Susan!” for the next patient, “Susan” also being my doctor’s first name.

I’m not ascribing anything supernatural to it, of course, but coincidences are always fun.

Continued thread

I opened a post from yesterday, here in Mastodon, where someone had asked me "how are you". The moment I started typing the answer, I received a chat message with the same question. I read the chat message on the top of the screen, as I typed the answer to that same question but addressed to someone else.

"Wrapped Around Your Finger" is the second #single in the UK (and the fourth single in the US) from #thePolice's 1983 album #Synchronicity. Written by #Sting, it was released worldwide by #AAndMRecords and featured the non-album track "Someone to Talk To" as the #Bside in the UK, while a live version of "#TeaInTheSahara" was the B-side in the US.

"Every Breath You Take" is a song by the English rock band #thePolice from their album #Synchronicity (1983). Written by #Sting, the single was the biggest US and Canadian hit of 1983, topping the #BillboardHot100 singles chart for eight weeks (the band's only No. 1 hit on that chart), and the Canadian #RPM chart for four weeks. Their fifth UK No. 1, it topped the #UKSinglesChart for four weeks. The song also reached the top 10 in numerous other countries.
