My wife got me this for my birthday because I wanted to learn some basic stitches to use for mending. The shop was going out of business so there were several sets on sale, and this one had a good variety of stitches (satin, back, lazy daisy, and double-wrapped French knot). All green lights, even the tension was simple to set and it does this posterboard just fine withought rips or wonky parts. The foot is REALLY heavy right now, but I can adjust that later, I may need the grip for some slippery canvas or nylon. Been an adventure figuring all that out! PS. I never hooked up a power source, I just use the hand crank!! PPS...I left a bobbin in with the right thread, NICE! SEWWW I have knot tested that skill yet...I used it up on my cringe-o humor.

The border of the flower (or the "ways" between the flowers in the garden, there will also be "leafs" in various shades of green) consists of second hand cloth, I hope I have enough of it. I had the luck to find second hand some vintage fabric from a quilter (may the earth be light on her). I bought ~ 4 Kg fabric online really cheap and without really knowing what was in it, only because of some turquoise cotton fabric I saw on a crappy photo. I gambled a bit and was rewarded. When I opened the parcel I was so happy to find that there were several pieces of (vintage and modern) damask bedclothes included, hand died in green, olive and turquoise. Really, it's an absolute treasure box. Edit: (Also: I feel like I am deeply in need to review my thoughts about art and crafting. When I look at other peoples things: Yes! This is art! Magic CauldronLate night crafting. What you do on a friday evening: cutting fabric, basting your hexies, maybe place a few stitches? 😁 It's for (another 🙄 - hello, <a href="https://treehouse.technopagans.de/tags/ADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ADHD</a>) new project. I want to make a classic grandma's flowergarden Quilt for me to sleep under when it's cold and I try to use mostly upcycled fabric for this project. (So - if you have old clothes or cloth made from woven cotton/viscose with a nice floral pattern that you don't want anymore - I'm your person!) This cloth I'm using here is from a beloved jumpsuit from my kid, which is too small now. Other flowers I made from a beautiful indian top I never wore. hexenschönMeine gern getragene Jeansjacke hat langsam aber sicher jede Farbe verloren. Man könnte sie wegwerfen oder man färbt sie nochmal neu. Nach dem Färben fiel mir auf, dass die Stöße ganz abgenutzt waren und es einige sehr dünne Stellen gab.
