makkin thing<p>I wrote a blog post about my university major project from a few years back: Designing and making a visible light spectrometer for hobbyist scientists! <a href="https://www.gbryant.co.uk/posts/2023-03-19_spectrometer/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">gbryant.co.uk/posts/2023-03-19</span><span class="invisible">_spectrometer/</span></a></p><p>It's summarising a year of work that was 5 years ago, so it's a bit of a mess. But I've been avoiding finishing the post so now I just want it to be <em>done</em>.</p><p>The actual spectrometer turned out really cool - for a start it <em>actually works</em> and could get you useful measurements! I've always wanted to go back and design an even simpler, cheaper version that would still be just as useful for doing science but more accessible.</p><p><a href="https://hackers.town/tags/IndustrialDesign" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndustrialDesign</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/spectrometer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>spectrometer</span></a> <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>science</span></a></p>
