Apparently EastEnders is 40 years old. Listening to the radio today was full of "duff-duffs".
I have an admission to make: I have never seen a whole episode of EastEnders. I've seen bits, of course, but never watched an episode all the way through.
This is also true of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Neighbours.
It's not that I object to soaps - I'm addicted to the Archers, after all - but I've never understood the attraction when real life is just outside the door!
