Die DDR hat nie die Sichtweise aufgegeben, dass die Verbrechen des 3.Reiches z.B. in Auschwitz ausschließlich auf den Monopolkapitalismus zurückzuführen sind, nicht auf die Schuld der Nationalsoziaalisten selbst. Das hat die #SED nie geändert, meiner Ansicht nach gilt das bis heute bei ihrer Fortsetzung unter dem Namen #Linke und in ihrer Argumentation gegen die #AfD

@Gegenwind Ich habe bis heute mit der Freiheitsfeindlichkeit der Partei #LINKE so meine Probleme. Das wurde gerade beim Umgang nicht dem #Angriffskrieg durch #Russland und #Putin noch einmal deutlisch. Wer das Recht auf Selbstverteidigung nur ohne Waffen eingesteht, ist in meinen Augen schlicht unglaubwürdig, denn er dient damit ausschließlich dem Agressor, dem #Diktator Putin. Und das ist leider beste #SED Tradition.

25/ Bis Dezember 1989 und Januar 1990 traten 60.000 bis 90.000 Mitglieder aus der #SED aus. Karrieristen sind eingetreten und wieder ausgetreten.
Übrigens auch das nicht so einfach. Eine Schulkameradin wollte #Medizin studieren. Sie hätte in die Partei eintreten müssen. Ist sie nicht und hat eben auch in der #DDR nicht Medizin studiert.

@tripleo I would also be remiss not to mention #Perl's included `perltrap` manual page, which notes both the `strict` and `warnings` pragmas and also has nice lists of things for those coming from other #programming languages and tools like #AWK, #C and #CPlusPlus, #JavaScript, #sed, and #shell.

@minego @jacobydave Er, #awk is often driven by #regex selection. I don’t know where you got the idea that was #sed’s exclusive domain.

Basically, though, matching and assigning the matches somewhere for later use is something awk is good at doing. OTOH sed is very good at substitutions like you'd do with tr/// or s/// in Perl (or ex, vi, vim, neovim, etc). If you combine the two in this way with some shell, you get very much what early Perl was developed to make easier.
For a Perl dev the programs sed2perl, awk2perl, and find2perl can be very enlightening.

@sjfloat @Perl When you get tired of escaping #shell metacharacters in your #awk and #sed pipelines, when you get tired of inventing new ways to pass structured data between small tools as text streams, #Perl is there.
Of course, you can take that last point too far. See #PowerShell or even #jq, where half the “fun” is marshalling *between* bespoke data structures.

I was going through some HTML markup/ content where my <h1>,<hx> tags have no anchors/ ID's. pain in the butt to do that manually if i want anchors, It occurred to me: why don't I just process the markup and use the <h1> (..contents ...) </h1>
but the (...contents...) atom needs filtering. E.g. "this just in", maybe I want "this_just_in"
That's not really possible w/ #PCRE is it?
Maybe this is something #sed can do? Im not super fmlr w/ all gnutils
