Maggie Maybe
This is strange and I wonder if this is a new HUD form or if they have always been like this.

I am disabled by MECFS and multilevel DDD. I tried to apply for an elderly and disabled apartment complex yesterday, turns out I would have to give up my section 8 voucher which I’m unwilling to do. Nothing on their website indicated that and I’m kind of mad I printed 56 pages of application, and gave them all my personal information before I found out.

Even though my only income is SSDI and I submitted proof of that income they told me if I wanted to go forward I would have to have my doctor complete this form.

And I guess I wouldn’t have been eligible anyway because I can live independently, and it’s bizarre to me that I would have to have a physical disability that prevents me from living independently but if I was a drug or alcohol addict that caused disability that would be fine.

Has anyone seen this form before?? This seems like something this administration would come up with to collect data on who needs to be rounded up for the concentration camps. It’s a weird thing to ask of someone who’s applying to a one-bedroom apartment. If I can’t live independently because of my disability how could I live in a one bedroom apartment? Or maybe that’s why they ask, they don’t want people getting dumped in a unit they can’t take care of?

#housingAssistance #HUD #disability #section8
