I mean, yes, there's <a href="https://polymaths.social/tags/pmos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#pmOS</a> and many other amazing projects, but given how much people live on their phones and depend on crummy things like their banking apps to work, there's not a lot of options.It's a bad state of affairs.If AOSP goes by the wayside, I guess I'll get a used iPhone and use it like a dumbphone. I know some folks that do that already.I do love my FOSS Android phone, though. It's a pretty decent middle ground between privacy and "functionality."P.S., ARM is a horrible platform. Just look at the progress of any project that tries to get a de-blobbed OS running on bare metal on any modern phone. They never make it particularly far. Even with blobs.

It's much looser stuff than the typical locktite and it tends to make a mess.I'm debating just dribbling locktite (regular CA) on top of the screws as well to try to make them a little more permanent.
