And the address it went to (which I have never given anyone) only reached me because Gmail ignores intra-username dots. Very strange.</p>

A guy responded critically, with incredible confidence, that EVERYONE KNOWS that tariffs are a sign of respect for the other country. Turns out NOT applying tariffs is actually disrespectful. Who knew?!? And yes, people responded in support of this idiotic self-appointed maga armchair economist. Make it stop. 🙄</p>

But you know how to stop them all? Deactivate your account, and when they ask why say too many emails, and magically you get a link to unsubscribe from all emails.</p><p>But fuck them for not having that option on the notifications settings page.</p>

I really liked the argument that we're now so much more connected to our family (constant texting) and also to the larger world (social media), but less connected to our local community. It would be great to solve this IRL but maybe in the same way that tech has helped with the other two, we could also solve that middle kind of disconnection.
