Lisa Makes Stuff (she/her)<p>But here's a sneak peak at the 3 small quilt tops I finished last week. As a reminder, these are made from some of the silk neckties I'll be using.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/quilt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilt</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/quilting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/sewing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/fabric" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fabric</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/silk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>silk</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/neckties" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neckties</span></a>.</p>
Lisa Makes Stuff (she/her)<p>And here is the final prototype, completed and quilted today. Many lessons learned from each prototype, and many notes for improving the final products for the project.<br><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/quilt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilt</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/quilting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/prototype" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prototype</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/silk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>silk</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/neckties" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neckties</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/ties" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ties</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/sewing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sewing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/creativity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>creativity</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/making" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>making</span></a></p>
The Skeptic's Book of Lists<p>"Where did I put that peek-a-boo tie?" is not something I say to myself every day. Found this vintage tie at resale for $1. Did a bit of research and I guess it's called a peek-a-boo tie. Sort of liberty cuffs but for 70s era man childs I suppose. Probably something you wore to a Shriner's convention and then showed the fellas. You peel back the bottom inverse and "she" shows more. Anyway, there are people that seem to collect these so I put it up on eBay. Have a bidder. <br>________<br><a href="https://c.im/tags/LibertyCuffs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LibertyCuffs</span></a><br><a href="https://c.im/tags/PeekABoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PeekABoo</span></a> <br><a href="https://c.im/tags/Neckties" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Neckties</span></a></p>
