eiZen<p>My latest journey in <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/modernweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>modernweb</span></a>:</p><p>1 slidedeck.</p><p>3 download buttons.</p><p>2+ different captcha approaches.</p><p>1 or 2 rounds of 60-second countdowns before the *actual* download button appears. It feels like I made it to Round Two of a quiz show.</p><p>How I know and why did I press them all in the first try, you ask?</p><p>Because the slide order was mixed up in the first one. So they even serve different content!</p><p>Oh, and of course I get other slides recommended because they also have a "Chapter 8".</p><p>Obviously.</p>

I'll take the early 2000's internet any day.
