Lari Lohikoski<p>Does anyone still use <a href="https://suomi.social/tags/minidv" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>minidv</span></a> cameras for anything productive? They were pretty nice devices, I used to film a lot with them. </p><p>At the time I considered their image quality to be great, but today it looks rather blurry. However, these feel quite good at hand and have some nice features like 0 lux mode and handy controls.</p><p>Has there been a nostalgic or esthetic revival for them yet?</p>
Chipotle Axelotl (aka Julian)<p>Here's a random longshot. Does anyone in the UK have a spare, old, MiniDV camcorder or player for me to convert old tapes? Doesn't matter if recorder or screen doesn't work as long as it can play back and has a working firewire (iee1398?) port. Also, must be able to play NTSC tapes (these were recorded on a Sony cam bought while I lived in USA).
