OMG I FOUND THE MOST HILARIOUS BUG IN MACOS AND PODCASTS APP...

1. First, I should NEVER be able to make a window this narrow in macOS app. You need a min width/height set for your app. How was this overlooked? Mac is 3rd class citizen at Apple it seems.

2. If you get it at this narrow width, you can no longer get it back to normal size. It's suck.

3. Quit and relaunch you say? Nope, app crashes upon relaunching now every time. See 2nd toot for this.

So this is cool in #macOSSequoia I’m on my Mac, deleting large videos from Messages via the Storage settings, and I am searching in Photos to make sure I have them there as well. If I search for “Dancing” it finds videos with dancing in them, but it also moves the playhead to where it thinks the dancing actually starts.

@caseyliss Hi. Have you heard of this Time Machine backup failure in macOS Sequoia that has hit a number of people, including myself?

It goes like this, a backup fails with the message "Time Machine did not finish backing up because some files were unavailable. Backups will resume when your Mac is unlocked."

My Mac Studio never sleeps, and there is no screensaver password. The backup failed while I was using it, in fact. There's no "unlocking" to be done...

I started seeing this upgrading from 15.0 to 15.1.1. No backup has completed since.

Thread about it here, and end of page 2 I post some TM logs with many errors:

Not sure if anyone else has taken apart the new #macossequoia Macintosh screensaver of classic Mac OS images. I was diving into the assets and noticed a number of .program files, which I haven't seen before. The contents are pretty interesting and appear to be English-like playback commands - anyone know any more details?

Well, that sucks. I just realized that #macOSSequoia removed the hidden option to rate songs by the half-star in #iTunes/ #AppleMusic from certain view modes.I used that. A lot.

But, apparently, I was the only one, since I seem to be the first person who has noticed. This is the third major bug or issue I've found in the Sequoia version of Music.app in, what's it been, two weeks?

(Custom stop-times for tracks no longer work, and you can't play tracks directly off an audio CD, only rip them)

Ok what is with more #Mac apps asking for permission to scan the local network to check for other apps and collect data? Is this a #macOSsequoia thing?

With some apps it kiiiinda makes sense, like Things 3 trying to sync your tasks faster. But what would Airmail, an email client, need with being able to scan my local network? #Apple

For those of you following the whole "macOS Sequoia firewall conflicting with security tools" thing, I'm curious whether anyone has seen any reporting that identifies how to reproduce it. Firewall on, yes, but after that? Is it sporadic? Is there any other condition that needs to be met? Or is this all still unknown? #macOS #macOSSequoia

(I ask because we can't reproduce it, but we don't know if it's because we haven't hit the right conditions or if we're somehow not affected.)

If you’re experiencing networking issues on macOS Sequoia such as interrupted SSL and SSH connections, slow speeds on VPN, packet loss, etc – there is a bug in the firewall. As reported by u/RomanaOswin here: reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/1f

The symptom I experienced was the macOS ChatGPT app failing to send messages, sync previous chats, and update settings. The ChatGPT website works, just not the app. Turning off the firewall fixes it.

Spent the morning troubleshooting my network issues with #macOSSequoia.

Turns out it was the Little Snitch extension which must’ve been just chilling in the background since my last computer because I haven’t used it in ages and thought it was fully uninstalled.
