FozzTexx<p>After banging my head on bizarre MS-DOS driver APIs and lack of coherent documentation for a couple of weeks: progress! My <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/FujiNet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FujiNet</span></a> RS232 SYS driver not only is able to automatically set the time on boot, but I can remotely access a 360k disk image from <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://oldbytes.space/@tschak" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>tschak</span></a></span>'s TNFS server and run a program from it. (Albeit quite slowly since the disk interface speed is throttled at 9600 for the moment. Still faster than C64 though!)</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/VintageComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VintageComputing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.fozztexx.com/tags/Luggable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Luggable</span></a></p>

Ding Dang Trevor Flowers<p>Y'all might know that I'm a fan of the Osborne One but I'm beginning to believe that the Compaq Portable III was peak luggable. I wouldn't mind something in that form-factor into which I could transplant the guts of my tower PC.<br>🖥️ <br>Though, I do like my ultrawide monitor. To keep that I'd need a ~32" wide luggable. 😸 <br><a href="https://machines.social/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://machines.social/tags/luggable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>luggable</span></a><br>(image credit: flying retro nerd: <a href="https://flying-retro-nerd.blogspot.com/2020/08/compaq-portabel-iii-286.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">flying-retro-nerd.blogspot.com</span><span class="invisible">/2020/08/compaq-portabel-iii-286.html</span></a>)<br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq_Portable_III" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq_P</span><span class="invisible">ortable_III</span></a></p>
