He was an ET3, an enlisted electronics and radar repairman in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. Trevor Flowers<p>Y'all might know that I'm a fan of the Osborne One but I'm beginning to believe that the Compaq Portable III was peak luggable. I wouldn't mind something in that form-factor into which I could transplant the guts of my tower PC.<br>🖥️ <br>Though, I do like my ultrawide monitor. To keep that I'd need a ~32" wide luggable. 😸 <br><a href="https://machines.social/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://machines.social/tags/luggable" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>luggable</span></a><br>(image credit: flying retro nerd: <a href="https://flying-retro-nerd.blogspot.com/2020/08/compaq-portabel-iii-286.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">flying-retro-nerd.blogspot.com</span><span class="invisible">/2020/08/compaq-portabel-iii-286.html</span></a>)<br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq_Portable_III" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compaq_P</span><span class="invisible">ortable_III</span></a></p>
