Michael U<p>Alright, I have a new laptop for reasons and am going to venture into the world of <a href="https://cloudisland.nz/tags/Bitwig" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bitwig</span></a> under Linux. </p><p>If any of you out there see this and want to tell me something, please do. :D </p><p>In the late 1900s I mucked about in UNIXes when I was on the helpdesk for a university. I made shell scripts and understood jokes about vi vs. emacs. Is it realistic to replace a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MacBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MacBook</span></a> with a Linux machine in a recording studio? Does it play nice with external devices? I've had some experience with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a>, I'm aware that it's not as user friendly but it seemed to work well "in the box", at least.
