Jeremy Kahn
I feel like that video of the squeaky tank is a riff on a Tex Avery cartoon or a Mr Bean or Mel Brooks or Monty Python chase scene

Waiting patiently at the crossing for all the piddling vehicles to go by before resuming the chase... And the last one is a little old person on a bike

But Google is crap now so I can't remember which one it was.

#LazyFedi help me out here

Does anyone have any recommendations for 3D printing services?

I'd like it printed with a decent bit of mechanical performance. It will get wet, it will probably get oily and grimy. Part of it will be under "reasonable" compression load.

Are PCBWay or JLC any good? What about Treatstock? UK or EU preferred.

Personal experiences desired! Em :official_verified:
Request for Recommendations 👀

FediFriends, you have been fantastic at helping me finding great end-to-end encrypted apps lately, thank you :dragon_heart:

I need another one!

This time I am looking for an app that is an alternative to Confluence's database feature.

Basically, I want an app that I can build simple spreadsheets in but with visualization options similar to what Confluence offers (especially the Card layout). I also need something that has the following features:

1. End-to-end encryption 🔐👈
2. Privacy by default 🔒
3. No AI 🚫
4. Hosted remotely (not self-hosted) :cloudcomputing:
5. Secure sharing feature :blobs:
6. Exportable in a common format 📂
7. Good looking design :neocat_floof_cute:

Nice to have:
- Open Source 🗃
- Affordable 💲
- Desktop app option 🖥️

More specifically, I need something that can do something similar to this: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/layouts-and-options/

#LazyFedi #Productivity #Documentation #Spreadsheet #Database

JollyOrc
I'm in the process of setting up a cyberdeck - and I need a brain.

What I want is a low-power board computer that can run a simple Linux, ideally booting right into an Obsidian interface. But if it is just text mode, I'll be happy too.

The "must have" is bluetooth (for inputs) and video-out and PD over USB-C. The smaller the formfactor and power consumption needs the better.

So, dear #lazyfedi , #followerpower and #cyberdeck enthusiasts: What would fit the bill and is cheap?

kirch
I love using Tusky to experience the Fediverse, but it doesn't have a translation feature -- is there an app out there that has all the features of Tusky but also translation? #lazyfedi

James Brown
Here's a question for you, #LazyFedi: I have two appliances, each of which draws 15A, that need to plug into one outlet, but are never turned on at the same time. I'm tiring of swapping which one is plugged in every time I use them. I know it'd be unsafe to use a regular wall tap (since someone could turn them both on and try to draw 30A); is there something that has one plug, two sockets, and a switch/relay between them? My google-fu is failing me.
