For a long time, starting ~ 10 years ago, my favourite film without question was <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/KodakTriX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KodakTriX</span></a>. But then it got way too expensive, so I started using <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/IlfordHP5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IlfordHP5</span></a> and FP4. Turns out those films are much (physically) flatter than Tri-X, so much easier to scan. More recently I've tried the <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Kentmere" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kentmere</span></a> films, and really love them, and not just for price. But, right now, based on 2 rolls, my fave is <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/FilmFerrania" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FilmFerrania</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/P33" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>P33</span></a>, no question.</p>

sbphoto<p>The sea is engaged in a constant battle with the land on Homer, Alaska's Spit. This old electrical box was the site of a failed business that probably has since washed into the sea.</p><p>This shot is from a roll of 120 Tri-X I shot nearly a decade ago and recently developed and scanned. Humidity apparently caused backing lettering to show through into the negative.
