Dr. Dani Sanchez<p>We have a few of my great grandfather’s scripts for “Two Rode Together”. The script went through many rewrites by John Ford’s frequent screenwriter Frank S. Nugentand and instead of throwing away the scripts like he was supposed to, my bisabuelo, who was also a regular location scout/background actor/extra/stunt rider in Texas &amp; Mexico based Ford productions, kept them. <br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/WestWed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WestWed</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TwoRodeTogether" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TwoRodeTogether</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JohnFord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnFord</span></a></p>

Tucker Teague<p>I just watched John Ford's 1946 masterpiece, MY DARLING CLEMENTINE for the umpteenth time. One of my all time favorite films. Of course, it's very much American mythology, manifest destiny, and hagiography (problems with so many American films). It's also a master class in classical Hollywood storytelling and amazing cinematography. Every shot is perfectly crafted and some are, I believe, the most beautiful in the history of Hollywood cinema.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/film" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>film</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/cinema" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cinema</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/movies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>movies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/hollywood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hollywood</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/western" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>western</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JohnFord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnFord</span></a></p>
