I opened my GMail, the one I basically use for ... nothing.
It's nothing but Lyft begging me to use their service, which I don't. Looking at all the discounts, it's like they'd be paying *me* to go places.
And shit from Google, "You logged in from a new IP."

#InBoxZero Achieved
In support of my ongoing goal to achieve #InboxZero whenever possible, today I am hitting that handy “unsubscribe" button on any unsolicited emails that appear in my Inbox.
I do this about once a year.
It works!
#QUIK SMS is kinda perfect now, but there's one leeeeeeetle feature I do occasionally miss from the proprietary SMS program I was using:
It did a best-effort attempt to interpret those idiotic "Liked 'I am the very model of a modern major general...'" messages you get from iPhones and would just stick an emoji next to the associated message, rather than display the completely pointless message.
Of course, it couldn't do it for photos, only for text. And I'm guessing if there was more than one message in the chat that had almost the same text (such that the quoted part would be non-unique), it probably would've failed there, too.
So, minor sad on that one, but QUIK is actually better in a lot of ways, such as its ability to archive/hide messages (conversation) you're done with without deleting them.
That of course means that I could theoretically practice #InboxZero with my text messages.
Someday, guys. Someday. XD

Inbox Zero achieved at the end of Friday is a good day!
We’ll see how long that zero lasts :D
@vees yeah. that's why my Outlook email is always in pretty good shape and Gmail is a wasteland. if anyone has tricks for getting Gmail to #inboxzero please share.
Done 124 emails in 44 minutes, back to #InboxZero and relieved.
#InboxZero achieved on this snowy Sunday
@ilijastuden holy cow these are a lot of messages, perhaps your 2025 resolutions should be #zeroinbox
My email accounts on my Mac are at #inboxzero
Yet my iPhone and iPad refuse to be fully in sync and recognize this achievement.
This is deeply uncool and anti-merry-happy holiday so I will simply ignore the device’s insistence that I have 60 unread emails and instead gaze in quiet satisfaction at the emptiness of my Mail.app Inbox.
I am hitting "unsubscribe" on nearly every marketing-type email in my Inbox today. This is one Canadian law that has paid dividends to my mental health! Do it!!
And always in the pursuit toward #InboxZero
Happening early today on a Monday morning!
The usual suspects have expressed curiosity at my daily process flow as a software developing using #Todoist #Joplin #Toggl #1Password and a dedication to #InboxZero, so here's the first draft I did during baseball practice yesterday evening. Any comments or feedback totally welcome.
Just discovered the "Group by sort" feature in #Thunderbird.
Guys, this is an #ADHD / email #anxiety game-changer.
Now your inbox is clustered in groups:
* Today
* Yesterday
* Last 7 Days
* Last 14 Days
* Older
This lets you focus on a small group of emails at a time and whittle your way towards #InboxZero
FANTASTIC.
I have let my work inbox get out of control...it's time for some cleaning.
I don't consider myself a particularly organized person in all facets of my life, but "digitally”, I like to maintain a sense of order. #InboxZero has, since my learning of it, been a fundamental part of how I stay sane. Here's a look back at my 2-part series where I talk about my take on Inbox Zero and some of the relevant science behind it.

Random question for the long-time email crew out there? What is your preferred way to backup and archive old email? I have traditionally used random gmail accounts to move email to and store there. But given ongoing #enshitification issues, I'd like to do something different.
I've mostly used IMAP on Apple Mail.app for that time.
