New Mexico Nomad<p>A few shots of the Red Rock Balloon Rally balloon glows. The balloon glow is held at Red Rock Park on Friday night, with a bonfire and dancers (usually Zuni Pueblo and White Mountain Apache Crown dancers). The Saturday balloon glow is at Rio West Mall in Gallup. They had to cancel mass ascension on Sunday due to canyon winds, but Friday and Saturday were glorious and the weather couldn't have been better. New Mexico Nomad<p>Heading to Gallup for Red Rock Balloon Rally this weekend. Starts tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 6. Mass ascension Fri, Sat, and Sun (depending on weather).</p><p>2021 was perfect. I didn't go in 2022 and the weather didn't cooperate at all last year, with snow, ice, and wind grounding the balloons all three days. Hopefully, Red Rock has the same good fortune as Fiesta 2024.
