Yoshimatsu ✅🇺🇸 🇺🇦<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://journa.host/@NinaBernstein1" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>NinaBernstein1</span></a></span> Minorities have known this for years. Racism was plastered over with a veneer of polite respectability but even that is now stripped off. What used to be said in private, in boardrooms, executive suites, <a href="https://toot.community/tags/LE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LE</span></a> offices and just about everywhere they didn't think they were heard, labels like <a href="https://toot.community/tags/nigger" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nigger</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.community/tags/wetback" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wetback</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.community/tags/gook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gook</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.community/tags/homo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>homo</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.community/tags/dyke" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dyke</span></a> and all other derogatory labels were applied with abandon. Now, the labels are used in public while the rest of us play ostrich. This will end badly.</p>
