Starting a new sketch book and also a new ink for today's #inkyDays drawing.

Yesterday, I picked up some test prints. I finally have time to do a quick photo to share. I'm so happy with how they all turned out. I scanned some of my hand drawn pieces, and then sent the files to my local photo and art printer.

More experimenting with this new ink, and I'm loving how it combines with others. I liked today's #inkyDays drawing so much that I did one on watercolor paper.

Here's an in-progress shot.

It's a new month, so I've started new posts for my supports on Patreon and Ko-fi. I'll be posting this month's finished drawings, and more, in these posts:

While working on a big piece, I kept thinking about how slowing down is the only way I avoid mistakes that ruin my work. When drawing, by hand, in ink, there is no 'undo'. If I make a mistake, the piece is ruined and I cut it up into scrap paper.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

So, in today's #inkyDays drawing, I incorporated the thought I posted recently: "slow down and make wonderful things". The ants agree.

I'm loving this ink. It's so complex! I'm experimenting with using it with my little fish motif in today's #inkyDays drawing. I also tried it with my calming floral pattern on watercolor paper.

I also made some good progress on this large piece I've been working on recently. Lots of drawing today.

Today it's already 3 weeks since the opening of "The Story Never Ends" exhibition at ZKM Karlsruhe, showcasing around 100 works by 75 artists from the museum's collection of 12,000 artworks, one of the largest and most important media art collections in the world (since the 1950s).

Due to the stress of the recent weeks, I've completely missed posting more pictures of my piece on display there (De/Frag, 2021). It's a custom site-specific version which will keep changing/evolving non-stop for the next 5 months (until the end of the show in late September). The pictures attached are by Clara Runge, the curator of the show. Thank you! 🙏🤩

A plea: If you happen to go to ZKM and get to see the piece, please do take & post some pictures — I'm very keen to see snapshots over time (so far I've only had it running for a few weeks, but never for months on end...)

More info about the piece and images also here in this thread:

Playing with a combination of orange inks in today's #inkyDays drawing. I liked it so much that I tried it on watercolor paper, and even started an attempt at drawing them as nodes in a network.

Here's an in-progress shot.

As usual, I've posted the finished drawing, and more, on this months posts for my supporters on Patreon and Ko-fi:
