Some challenges:
+ It may be necessary to consider the front/back view of a project. This may be as simple as making two different images from each set of directions... Or much worse! 
+ #Stitches may interact oddly with one another in ways my #knitting #newbie self is not privy to as of yet.
+ #Gauge would probably be standardized at first, but maybe could be adjusted somehow... Not sure. Stretching of certain cells?
+ Probably a bunch of other stuff I'm not aware of.
