The dandelion (taraxacum officinale), here with its beautiful fluffy crown, so widespread, so common, but also so beautiful. Not always nice to have in your lawn or gravel path, but I always leave a few in the flower beds. Then just weed. And if you have the space, you can perhaps let them do their thing. They are edible, the leaves for salad and the flowers for tea. The circle of life • Live Oak

This resilient tree can grow 60-80ft tall and up to 120ft wide. Its branches stretch far with its determined temperament, and it can live for 100s of years with the right conditions. My hope is regulations stay in place to protect this species.
