#Russia has established a #weapons #programme in #China
to develop and produce long-range attack #drones

according to two sources from a European intelligence agency and documents reviewed by Reuters.

IEMZ Kupol, a subsidiary of Russian state-owned arms company Almaz-Antey,
has developed and flight-tested a new drone model called Garpiya-3 ( #G3 ) in China

I got an old iMac G3 sold as not working, but to my surprise it actually displays the osx boot screen with the grey apple logo, and then the hdd starts to make some very unpleasant noises, so the harddrive is definitely on its way out.

I connected a wireless logitech mx keys keyboard to it, but it doesn't seem to take any of the usual keypresses at bootup that would enable open firmware or selecting a different boot drive... no matter what I press, it always just tries to boot osx and fails.

Any idea what I could try? Does it need a wired keyboard? Does it need an original apple keyboard? The one I have can be switched between mac and windows mode, and I set it to mac, but it didn't make a difference.

Progress update on my #Apple #iBook #G3 14" battery rebuild: I... might have actually succeeded? The house is still standing, at least.
I'm not seeing the total mAh numbers I was expecting, even after giving it two full charge-and-discharge cycles, but it does manage to run as long as I'd expect (about ~6.5 hours idling, screen on most of the time), with it reporting % seemingly correctly too.
So I think for now I'm going to call it a win?
