robcornelius<p>I think the new <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/arrows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arrows</span></a> will be ok. Bit annoyed with those two stray ones to be honest. They even whistle as they spin. </p><p><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/archery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>archery</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/longbow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>longbow</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/tradionalarchery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tradionalarchery</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/fletching" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fletching</span></a></p>
robcornelius<p>I have been making new <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/arrows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arrows</span></a> this week. Bought the shafts as life is too short to make them.</p><p>2 x coats of sanding sealer<br>3 x coats of Goblin Snot flouroescent orange paint (best brand name ever)<br>2 x coats of thin water based varnish.</p><p>I glued on the nocks and piles this morning.</p><p>Next is cutting feathers and gluing them on. 6" 'banana' shaped feathers. Going for helical flèches for the first time ever too. Got a new jig for that.</p><p><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/archery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>archery</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/fletching" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fletching</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/longbow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>longbow</span></a> <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/TranditionalArchery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TranditionalArchery</span></a></p>
robcornelius<p>Quick visit to the <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/allotment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>allotment</span></a> and <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/shed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>shed</span></a> this evening.</p><p>Pulled out a large sapling / small tree that had cunningly disguised itself as a blackcurrant bush. Trimmed the real <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/blackcurrant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blackcurrant</span></a> bushes and the <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/blackberry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blackberry</span></a> thug. Pulled out <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/horsetail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>horsetail</span></a> and <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/bindweed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bindweed</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/painted" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>painted</span></a> some <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/arrow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arrow</span></a> shafts a fetching fluorescent orange with Goblin Snot paint (best brand name ever). They will need another coat or two. The two or three coats of varnish on top of that to get them nice and smooth. Tried out my new helical <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/fletching" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fletching</span></a> jig on a broken arrow shaft. That went well too. Well, until I noticed I put the feather on backwards.</p>
