DevijandLemon's mama paid a rare visit to our backyard today. She was clearly planning an ambush near the bird feeder but the birds didn't fall for it. Mama is very feral and very pretty. Ms. Que BanhUpdate on Clive - the <a href="https://beige.party/tags/FeralCat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FeralCat</a> that my friend recently rescued from her rural property in Yellowpoint - Cedar/Ladysmith area.Clive had his full vet check up & he is <a href="https://beige.party/tags/FIV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FIV</a>+. He'll require regular visits to vet to monitor his health condition & get vaccines as needed. Clive got all his vaccines last week & is doing pretty good. He got neutered & treated for fleas & worms too. My friend has moved him from the studio outbuilding into her home. Clive is still very timid but is slowly coming around. She has named him, Clive. It took a few days to get him comfy enough to sleep in cardboard box inside contained small studio outbuilding. She has trapped him. Shantell PowellThis is Pretty Boy, another feral rescue. He is most likely part Maine Coon Cat, which is a common breed in PEI. He is about 15 pounds and is a berserker. When he flies into a rage, he becomes a demon. Even Shoebootie defers to him. He is the most vicious fighting cat my parents have ever seen, once he’s worked up. He is a murder machine, the scourge of any rat who dares find its way into the house. Shantell PowellThis is Shoebootie, an absolute unit of a cat. He was a feral cat adopted by my parents in rural PEI. He weighs about 30 pounds and is solid muscle. A bald eagle made the mistake of grabbing him. While being carried away through the air, Shoebootie spun around and killed the eagle, falling a long way to the ground. He walked off like it was no big deal. He also chased down and killed a fox, and escaped from a huge coy-wolf (not at the same time). He/she has been coming for meals 2/day since Jan, 2021. Lately it has been coming at other than its regular morning/evening times. Ever since it & another frequent "guest" were attacked by something (Shadow recovered; the other no longer around) it has been much more familiar, sometimes just "hanging out" on the porch for a few hours.
