‘Eid in times of genocide, our silence is not a sacrifice’
7 June is Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice. A day that for many people is a celebration of hope, faith and sharing.
But how can we celebrate when children are being buried under rubble in Gaza?
How can we remain silent when entire families have been wiped out, cities destroyed and hospitals bombed for over 8 months?
That is why we are taking to the streets on this day.
Not to celebrate but to be visible.
To mourn.
To demand.
To say: We will not remain silent, not in the face of genocide.
Our demands:
- Immediate ceasefire
- An end to the siege of Gaza
- Stop German arms exports
- International investigations & justice
- Visibility for Palestinian life

Am 7. Juni ist Eid al-Adha, das Opferfest. Ein Tag, der für viele Menschen ein Fest der Hoffnung, des Glaubens und des Teilens ist.
Aber wie können wir feiern, wenn in Gaza Kinder unter Trümmern begraben werden?
Wie können wir schweigen, wenn seit über 8 Monaten ganze Familien ausgelöscht, Städte zerstört, Krankenhäuser bombardiert werden?
Deshalb gehen wir an diesem Tag auf die Straße.
Nicht um zu feiern sondern um sichtbar zu sein.
Um zu trauern.
Um zu fordern.
Um zu sagen: Wir schweigen nicht, nicht angesichts eines Genozids.
Unsere Forderungen:
– Sofortiger Waffenstillstand
– Ende der Belagerung Gazas
– Stopp deutscher Waffenexporte
