By that point <a href="https://linernotes.club/tags/ExeneCervenka" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ExeneCervenka</span></a>, <a href="https://linernotes.club/tags/JohnDoe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JohnDoe</span></a> and <a href="https://linernotes.club/tags/DaveAlvin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DaveAlvin</span></a> were all focusing on solo careers; this would have been an early one-off reunion gig. </p><p>I got there late, the club was packed, so I watched on tippy toe from back near the bar. Didn't matter though because the Palomino wasn't big and they played way louder than I was expecting - this wasn't no genteel unplugged set nohow. Lots of cornpone humour was lobbed about, tempos got pushed to breaking points (Dave whined about his hand being tired after "Rock Island Line") and it was a hoot and a half for everyone on/off the stage.</p>
