I am having a hell of a days-after fridge logic moment, but... Is Daredevil Born Again trying to make a point that the best defense New Yorkers have against Kigpin are... the superwealthy elites? It sure looks like it.

Daredevil: Born Again moves from strength to strength with tonight's double episode. More integration into the MCU was great (especially when it comes from my favorite MCU dad), it has dialed back the thin blue line rhetoric (the NYPD is now incompetent and/or corrupt), but the show's treatment of superheroes is still kind of awkward in comparison to the rest of the MCU.

Been rewatching the entire Netflix 'Daredevil' run for the first time in years, while trying (very unsuccessfully) to avoid 'Born Again' spoilers, and I'd almost forgotten how incredibly good it was. Even during the weak parts of S2 it remains great TV, the Frank Castle/Punisher storyline was fantastic and added significant depth to the characters. Overall one of the best things to ever come out of Marvel.

I'm really enjoying Daredevil: Born Again, but there's something slightly off about the world-building. I talked a little about it last week, but tonight brought another element to the fore - the show's treatment of superheroes compared to the rest of the MCU. It also feels like it's still trying to be in the Netflix universe, with it's wishy washy connection to the rest of the MCU despite it being the third official appearance of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk.

In den letzten 30 Stunden die komplette Staffel 3 #Daredevil (die Netflix-Serie von 2015–2018) gebinged, plus die bislang releasten ersten beiden Folgen des Revivals.

Staffel 3 fand ich ziemlich gut. Ich mochte insbesondere die Dialoge, die Matt in seinem Kopf geführt hat, und wie sie filmisch dargestellt wurden. Und den ganzen Intrigenkram. Und die Schauspielenden!

Zur neuen Serie kann ich noch nicht so viel sagen. CGI und die "Überraschung" am Anfang der ersten Folge waren nicht so meins.

#Daredevil is basically a better version of Batman.

#Batman stories should be about a rich guy struggling with the fact that his dad's obsession with wealth lead to a broken city and a failed relationship with his son.

And #Superman should focus on the immigrant narrative but also on how his appearance fucks with the John Galt wannabe Lex Luthor.

Just watched the first episode of the Daredevil: Born Again series. It started SO well and then - despite all the fog and mist atmospherics - seemed to run out of steam. I REALLY like the way that they are unabashedly presenting Kingpin as a Donald Trump analogue though.
