Made the tough decision today not to go to Starfury Ascension in London. Much though I wanted to go, I’m not up to it and the thought of it had had me terrified for weeks now. Different if I’d been going on my own, then I could totally control how much I did etc but it’s difficult with a party of people, especially when it feels like some of them don’t really get how debilitating this illness is. Hopefully they’ll have one next year. #Stargate #Convention #illness

As you all can see, this is the new Fediverse presence of the one and only Roll Initiative Con! A biennial (that's twice a year, not once every two years) tabletop games convention in Ewijk, near Nijmegen, Netherlands. There's a spring edition with varying themes, and a Halloween edition in fall with vendors, live games, workshops, etc. Dutch first, but internationally minded.

The RolePlay Verse is a family-friendly fan festival covering all role-playing genres and takes place annually in Oberhausen. It was originally known in Cologne as the Roleplay Convention.
This year, we'll be there with our own booth at Nerd Verse 2, Booth 42, starting tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you!

Hmmm, lets #AskFedi... Lets say the federated social media presence of a #TTRPG #convention, currently on Pixelfed, is looking for another instance to move to... What would be a good match? I'd say a mid sized, well federated, reliable, non-Pixelfed instance would be great. It would have to allow sharing lots of photos and preferably larger videos, preferably also with a larger character limit. Of course preferably also TTRPG / #cosplay oriented. Thanks in advance for any and all tips! :)

Chrono Trigger starts a bit late on Sunday because of Mother's Day.
Offline we're playing Atelier Totori, Marvel Rivals, Wild Arms, and Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE. We're watching JJBA: Golden Wind. One of us is attending VinylCon.
Still thinking about MondoCon. I haven't been to a convention for almost a decade. It felt so good to be back, with people being weird and happy and excitable together. In a country where Pride is banned, people in cosplay were running around with trans flags and rainbow flags and crossplaying enthusiastically. No one batted an eyelash at people randomly dancing. Everyone watched out for kiddo and everyone was friendly. I really needed this.
