Either you believe in equality and freedom and kindness, or you don't. There's no halfway point. </p><p>The Democrats should be treating anyone among their number who is voting in line with Republicans on mass deportations, gutting environmental protections or wrecking healthcare or any of this other twisted fuckery this administration is shitting out, as VILE TRAITORS.</p><p>There should not be any "peaceful transition" to the next Reich. Whatever you'd do in Germany in the 30s, you're doing right now. Shouldn't somebody be chucking these murderous bastards bodily out of office before they burn the whole world down? Can we say that out loud yet?? </p><p>For years the Vote Blue No Matter Who crowd has been screaming from rooftops about how another round of Trump could be the end of all democracy, the next Hitler and so on-- but was all of that just noisy melodrama to coerce votes out of people, or what?? If you actually believe it, if you SEE what's happening, you've got to face the fact that voting harder has already failed. It's time to act like fascism is real, and it's here, because that jackboot is coming DOWN on us all if we don't start doing some drastic shit. If you're not a radicalized antifascist yet, what the fuck are you even doing??</p><p>Are we just going to meekly continue to do as we're told now that the broken, rotten, corrupt government is spinning truly and blatantly off the rails and the orders being handed down stop making any actual sense at all?</p><p>Everybody's going to need to take hold of their ass in both hands and pick it up off that fence. If you're still comfortable, stop assuming horrible violence and oppression is Someone Else's (browner, poorer, more 'third world') problem. It's coming for you too. Don't fidget around just waiting till the next round of voting harder for Someone Else to fix this for you.</p><p>And no, I am not advocating for you to start running around chucking explosives etc as if that's the ONLY option when we finally get up off the couch. Resistance is implemented in EVERY PART OF LIFE. Not just out in the streets, not just in violent revolt, but EVERYWHERE. Where you work, where you eat, where you shop, where you sleep. Make choices that are inconvenient for the people stepping on us. Make choices that support your community. Millions of people doing even small things are unstoppable. This is going to take thousands upon thousands of tiny rebellions adding up to real change.</p><p>There's things you can do. We are not helpless. Think small. Think steady. Think sustainable.</p><p>Damn right we need courageous folks putting themselves on the line in big ways, but if you're still too chicken for that at least do SOMETHING.
