Chris Chapman'Just out of Reach' - I spent quite a lot of time trying to find a composition close to falls using the rocks, small falls and the stream as foreground interest, I was getting frustrated. I was too close and having to shoot at a really steep angle that was taking away from the beauty of this small waterfall. It wasn't until I went to leave that I turned back and saw this composition. I am literally standing in the middle of the road shooting back. I guess the morel is give it one more look before you pack up and leave. Fotos-HFFrom now on I try to be more active here again! I took this picture 2022 but edited it yesterday with <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Darktable?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Darktable</a>. I used the Canon RF 16mm STM lens. It seems like a lot of people hate this lens but I really love it. It is cheap, small and super light weight which makes it perfect for long hikes in the mountains. And in my opinion the "loss" in image quality compared to the L lenses is absolutely acceptable considering how easy it is to take this lens with you. KattniHey, folks! Happy New Year! May this year be better than the last, even though 2022 set a pretty low bar. I thought for my first post if 2023, I would do the <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/intro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#intro</a> post that never happened. Hi! I'm Kattni (she/her). I'm <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/neurodivergent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#neurodivergent</a>, and do my best to be open about it. This isn't the post for details, but I'm happy to write up a future post with more on that subject. I am a photographer, programmer, mentor, maker, intermittent chef, one-time gardener, tentative step-parent, and loved wife. I am tolerated by two cats who continue to let me live with them.I am newly married to my wife! It was always in the works, but extenuating circumstances bumped the timeline up to imminent. I managed to pull everything together in a week or so, and it all worked out better than I could have imagined.I've done various public speaking engagements, including being the 2019 keynote speaker at PyOhio, even though it terrifies me. I recently got a new camera that I'm super excited about! <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/CanonR5" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CanonR5</a> So many new features means a steep learning curve, but I'm here for it. Haven't had much time to work with it yet, but I'm learning as I go based on what the situation requires.
