Reports of problems of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BatteryElectric" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BatteryElectric</span></a> vehicles in cold weather are somewhat exaggerated. </p><p>In cold weather, hydrogen fuel cells won't even start to produce power until they have been heated to above the freezing point... using power from the HFC vehicle battery! </p><p>ICE cars (especially diesels!) have more problems starting in cold weather than BEVs.</p>
