Wintermute_BBS<p>After having taken a break from soldering over the past few weeks, I enjoed a little training exercise today by building a <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/FIGnitionFUZE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FIGnitionFUZE</span></a> that I had lying in the shelf for he past eleven years. It is a simple <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/computer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>computer</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/kit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>kit</span></a> based on an <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ATmega" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ATmega</span></a> chip.</p><p>Turns out I missed quite some fun here as the flash rom contains a good load of demo applications and games, including <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/FIGtris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FIGtris</span></a> a <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Tetris" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tetris</span></a> clone</p><p>So this is the second machine I built that comes with <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Forth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Forth</span></a> built in ( the other one being the <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/MyNORMy4TH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MyNORMy4TH</span></a> ) and I am quite surprised to see how well the 8-button keyboard of the FIGnition Fuze actually works in practice.</p><p>The screenie shows me playing FIGtris.</p>
