One of our heat pump installers had an asthma attack yesterday and had to spend the afternoon at home.
Please, if you have #asthma, make sure you carry an in-date inhaler and a written treatment plan agreed with your asthma nurse. Asthma kills four people a day in the UK. It can strike without warning and it's seriously frightening. The worst asthma attack I ever had came out of the blue six months after my first dose of #Covid. #Ventolin just bounced off it and didn't help at all. I never want to go through that again.
Fortunately, the heat pump installer came through this attack and, today, she's as right as rain.
I took Y'all's advice and both made sure to wear a mask, and to provide adequate ventilation today while housecleaning. It made a huge difference! My lungs thank you.

The Trump administration has eliminated roughly $1 million in funding from the Environmental Protection Agency #EPA to the state Department of #PublicHealth intended specifically to address asthma in western Massachusetts, according to Gov. #MauraHealey’s office. This termination comes shortly after the #AmericanLungAssociation reported a decline in air quality across the state and region.
The money was meant to provide in-home air quality remediations to combat environmental factors, such as improvements to ventilation and the removal of mold throughout Chicopee, Holyoke and Springfield. The state was promised about $1 million over three years for these remediations, but the withheld funding comprises nearly $900,000 of that amount. The DPH so far has spent approximately $100,000 of the money to address asthma in communities disproportionately at risk.

17/. I have #asthma and #allergies to grass and tree pollen and many furry animals. My allergies mean that I have #postnasaldrip and sniff, snort and throat clear all the time, all year round. It’s not my sexiest feature and is one reason why I prefer remote working to being in an office. It makes social situations really awkward. I often have to explain my problems to people who get understandably pissed off with the noses I make. I went to an #ENT and they discharged me as untreatable.

A month ago I saw a dream where I asked an entity if I should give back Ski, our cat that has too many health problems. The entity said "no, her best chances are with you".
Today, after figuring out that her chronic cough is not cough but asthma attacks, that all made sense. No one where I live in Greece would move the cat to a grain-free home-made diet to help asthma naturally. Unfortunately, I won't be able to find asthma meds for cats here, so it has to be a natural solution.

[anxiety can induce attacks & no doubt they took her inhaler] & of course, she did have an attack & didn’t have her medication.
Those moments cigarette smoke randomly comes in your window and causes a major asthma attack that you feel like death even after using your rescue inhaler and your oxygen level has gotten lower than it's ever been before

Studies have shown that people who live in those #communities have higher rates of #asthma, #HeartDisease & other #health problems, compared w/the national average.
What a rough week.
I went to the ER again due to severe back and chest pain I couldn't figure out.
It seemed to get better when I used my inhaler. I had a cough for about a month, that hasn't been horrible until that pain showed up, which I thought was a quitting smoking cough. I did that about 3-4 days ago too. Had a cold or something like a month ago, #asthma makes me take forever to get rid of a cough.
Turns out I have Pneumonia, which can be very painful.
Lucky me!
