Jacob Springs Farm's farmstand had chicken necks and hearts in the cooler, so I bought a package each. Also bell pepper, because the one in my farm share was small. The tomato in my farm share was just right - I haven't added the grocery store saucing tomatoes just yet.</p><p>Last week I didn't allow for enough simmerin' time. Nor did I make it SPICY enough. This week will correct both oversights!</p>

Here is a leek, there is a potato, is the conclusion not obvious?</p><p>Apparently it is NOT obvious, especially considering that it took me until tonight to make the potato-leek soup. But I have made it. And we are chowing down, and happy.</p><p>This despite it definitely not being soup weather in Boulder...</p>

Featuring Omni's fake fake meat (their Spam substitute) and also their lion's mane mushroom steaks w/ asparagus, all of it sauteed in a home-brew teriyaki glaze. DAMN I'm good</p><p>Also snacking on some fresh baby carrots, white turnips, French radishes just picked by Friends Farm - their first CSA pick-up just happened to be Tuesday.</p><p><a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/amCooking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amCooking</span></a> <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/wasCooking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wasCooking</span></a> <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/amEating" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amEating</span></a> <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/amDriving" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amDriving</span></a></p>

Marc Jacobs<p>Grilled cheese on masala bread. </p><p>We stopped at “Hot Bread” in Sunnyvale. Had no idea what we would find there. Bought the masala bread on a whim. It’s basically soft white bread with Indian spices. Pretty 🌶️hot, too. </p><p>It makes a great grilled cheese sammich. Beecher’s cheese inside. </p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/amcooking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>amcooking</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/IndianFood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IndianFood</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AmericanFood" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AmericanFood</span></a></p>
