Jeff Samsonow<p>About time! And, to be fair, this is not just an EPSB issue. It happens at schools across Alberta, but the EPSB just reports it more regularly. <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/abed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>abed</span></a> <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/edmonton-public-schools-cuts-number-of-seclusion-rooms-but-confinement-continues-1.7546393" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/ed</span><span class="invisible">monton-public-schools-cuts-number-of-seclusion-rooms-but-confinement-continues-1.7546393</span></a></p>
Senator Paula Simons🇨🇦<p>Fun Home, by Alison Bechdel, is a brilliant, poignant queer coming-of-age story, a literary classic that was later turned into a Tony-Award-winning musical. It's a graphic - only in the sense that it's a graphic novel, or rather, a memoir. But it's not porn. It's not titillating. Moral panics like this make us look absurd. <a href="https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/extremely-graphic-sexual-content-found-in-books-at-k-9-schools-province-says" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">calgaryherald.com/news/local-n</span><span class="invisible">ews/extremely-graphic-sexual-content-found-in-books-at-k-9-schools-province-says</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/abed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>abed</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/abpoli" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>abpoli</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/ableg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ableg</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Alberta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Alberta</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yeg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yeg</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/yyc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>yyc</span></a></p>
