May the 4th with you!

Here's a good opportunity for a writer such as myself. If you're a fan of #StarWars, my wonderful #WritingCommmunity, then I've got a little something for you. Enjoy!

Governor Tarkin has enough on his plate as it is. Times are rapidly changing, and the Empire is growing stronger as the days pass. A new Intelligence Officer is appointed to the governor's command, though, and one wonders how will the two get along. He has never made it a secret how he feels about Force-users, even if he hides behind pleasantries and the neutrality in his words. There's only one exception to the rule: Lord Vader, but could there ever be another in the future?

If you're a fan of #StarWars, my dear #WritingCommmunity, then I've got a little something for you. It's called Forbidden Desires of the Dark Side. I started the story, and I've already posted the first chapter. For now, this WIP has a working title. It might very well change in the future.

One of my goals this year is to read more self published books, so respond here if you’ve got something I should read!

I’m not a high fantasy, sword and sorcery fan. Ditto for Dune style sci-fi. I am awed at the skill required to write it but don’t enjoy reading it right now.

I am currently enjoying magical realism, upbeat sci-fi, urban fantasy and HEA Romance. I do love horror, specifically paranormal horror.

So you can meet the needs quickly

"It's not that we have a short time to live,
but that we waste a lot of it." -Seneca

•We waste a lot of time caring too much about what people think.
•We waste a lot of time being too rigid, and too hard on ourselves.
•We waste a lot of time being sheep.
•We waste a lot of time not thinking for ourselves.
•We waste a lot of time not developing our critical thinking.
•We waste a lot of time doing what we think is expected of us.
•We waste a lot of time doing things we don't actually want to do.
•We waste time not being who we want to be.
•We waste a lot of time not being true to ourselves.
•We waste a lot of time thinking we need to be productive 24/7.
•We waste a lot of time trying to prove ourselves to people who are just as imperfect as us.
•We waste a lot of time not living.
•We waste time judging each other.
•We waste time thinking of what could have been.
•We waste time when we don't live in the present moment.
•We waste time working jobs we don't love.
•We waste time choosing money over living.

Dear writer's of Mastodon,
I have a few questions to ask you in regards to writing that you can make a living off, while also battling depression and anxiety.

1. How do you manage to write while also struggling with your mental health?

2. How can you write and ask your editor and publisher for time to deal with your mental health? (I ask this because I want to be a published writer but the fear of having a deadline really makes it challenging for me to commit.)

3. Can you survive on writing if you require a lot of time off?

#WordWeavers 10.6 — Who is your weirdest character?

Junk is by far my weirdest character. From his radio show to the drugs and booze, the way he dresses and how he's always high on /something/, etc. He's a ball of anxiety, ridiculousness, hyperactivity, teasing, jokes, and fun. I absolutely adore him, though. How can you not? He's a bundle of relatable stuff (minus the drugs and alcohol, of course), and he loves his friends and family more than anything.
