Yesterday, as typical, I got details but had to ask again for pay info.The person wanted to be a middleman, offering basically entry level pay or about half of what the role's fair market value.These crummy recruiters seem to be almost exclusively Indian, in or from India. (I don't want to seem racist, but the correlation seems pretty clear.)They work through agencies whose names are becoming familiar to me. It was $74-78/hour (on W-2). Especially for the described skills set, I'd expect it to pay about four times as much.After I quickly declined, the caller asked how much I was seeking. I said only "market rate" and that that was "not even close".
