Linux users might appear in a slow dribble otherwise, but we grow more rapidly when MS fumbles. I started Linux to get away from <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/WindowsME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#WindowsME</a>, and there were similar moods around <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/WindowsVista" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#WindowsVista</a> and <a href="https://snabelen.no/tags/Windows8" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Windows8</a>. The event is neither a joke nor a start of Linux supremacy, just a good opportunity.

🇺🇦 haxadecimalIf I use dd (on Linux) to copy an entire Windows ME bootable IDE drive to another drive (same capacity or higher), shouldn't that still be bootable on the same computer? Did that. Trying to boot copied drive starts trying to boot ME, then hangs. Swapped back to original IDE drive, still boots fine.And yes, I'm well aware that running Windows ME is a Bad Idea (TM).
