@tldr 🤖 please do your thing for me!

I woke from a long sleep about an hour before the alarm was set to go off. I really had to go, and then I started my usual routine. The scale was well... As usual as well. I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and I let her out for a wee. She was happily eating when I grabbed my bag and headed to Skoosh.

I caught up with the notifications and chats while I was enjoying my protein shake (and waiting for the meds to kick in). I rode the seated bike for half an hour. And then I walked the treadmill for one kilometer, not too fast, but with a slight incline. I enjoyed a ten minute massage and then I switched shoes and got ready to had home again.

A quick wash up, a change of clothes, some brekky, and then Arwen and I headed out. Arwen seemed a bit reluctant to come, she was slow and asking for many cuddles. So we took it slow and after a bit, she was happily getting all the sniffs. She also did her business a lot! I wondered what that was about. As she didn't eat anything different and we had our normal walks and all that... But I think she felt relieved and then she happily trotted along the way. I worked on my blog a bit and watched a bit of streaming series.

When we got back, I changed clothes and I rode the hometrainer for half an hour. Then my neck, hands, and leg were being asshats... 😔 I even took some extra painkillers so I could relax a bit. Arwen wanted some earlier walkies, but then was disappointed that she didn't see the neighbor. Well, can't have it all Arwen! 😉 We headed out around 7 again. And then I hoovered the downstairs area. I got my bag and headed to the supermarket after that. I had no food... 🫣 And was getting a bit hungry (I thought I still had something in the fridge, but I thought wrong, whoops...).

I got my groceries and when I was back home, my bestie called. She was later today, and we had a chat while I prepped and started eating my meal. 😊 After that, I had a wee bit of relaxing and then Arwen wanted out again. While we were out, N&B came as well. We had a nice walk. And then they came along with me, as N was sweet enough to help me with the hanging of the privacy screen in the back garden. 😇 And I could have never managed this on my own. It was a challenge with the two of us. And, of course, having two curious furballs with us, that didn't help either! When I was upside down, they tried to kiss me or get between my legs! 😂 We sure had some laughs! But in the end... We got it hanging! It needs a finishing touch, but my hands were so sore, that I'll do that some other day.

The neighbor and B went home again, and I fixed Arwen some food. Then we relaxed on the couch. But not too long, as an hour later, Arwen wanted walkies again... 😅 Oof I was getting really tired...

After walkies, I had about 1:30 to relax with some telly. And then... You guessed it! 😂 Arwen and B had some nice splashes and fun, which was the most important thing.

I relaxed a bit and around 15:15, I took Arwen out for a last wee. Fortunately she did one, so we could head to bed. It took a short while to fall asleep, but...

I woke after an hour, needing a wee and being warm. I fell asleep again, only to wake an hour after that! I was so warm. I opened the window, and then I slept for about 4 hours. And then I woke again for the loo, but I wasn't to hot anymore. Then I woke again about ten minutes before the alarm. I didn't feel as tired as I expected, so I started my day/night, to try to make the best of it... 😊

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

pTerry had a way of putting things that just seems to make one think - ‘yes, yes exactly that!’ :

“And yet we say this. Here is the cave at the end of the world, peace is made between dwarf and troll, and we will march beyond the hand of Death together. For the enemy is not Troll, nor is it Dwarf, but it is the baleful, the malign, the cowardly, the vessels of hatred, those who do a bad thing and call it good...”

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

There are a number of similarities in the fields of magic & computing - tonight’s quote could quite easily apply to either with a couple of minor adjustments! 😆

“That’s what’s so stupid about the whole magic thing, you know. You spend twenty years learning the spell that makes nude virgins appear in your bedroom, and then you’re so poisoned by quicksilver fumes and half blind from reading old grimoires that you can’t remember what happens next.”

@tldr 🤖 please do your thing for me.

I woke about an hour before the alarm. My body was sore from the chores of tbe previous day (washing Smurf was a hard thing now for me), and my pain meds were done working, so my body needed to get up and get moving. 😊 The scale was an asshat again which will probably be my own "fault" (but maybe I can blame the hormones? 🤔 Hihi). I got dressed, cared for Arwen, and then got ready to head to the gym again.

I caught up with some texts from some very sweet friends. I caught up with some notifications. I rode the seated bike for a while, until my leg had enough again. And then, I didn't use the massage chair for ten minutes... I used it for twenty! My body was sore and no one seemed to want to use it, so I snuck in an extra ten minutes. Yay! Then I headed back to Skoosh again so I could get home.

Washed up, changed, had brekky. The weather app said there was a a 90% chance of rain, so I was a good gall and I took my umbrella. So... Of course I didn't need it... Which wasn't too bad, but it's weird. As when it said there was a 40% chance, it rained, and now it said 90% and it was dry... Weather can be weird! 😂 We had a nice walk and Arwen had many sniffs and she did her things. I worked on my blog some, so that was good too. I started a new post that I thought would be "an easy one". But then, with adding all the needed alt texts, it took me quite a while before I was content with it. It won't go online for a while yet, as I have many blogs planned ahead. But at least I have another one to share. And I think I did rather well on it. 😊

When we got home, I switched clothes and I got to the treadmill. I walked for an hour! Just a slow 4,4kmh pace, but still... I did have a 3% incline for 55 minutes, so that wasn't too bad!

I washed up, changed again, and then had some food. Arwen and I relaxed a bit and then we headed to Skoosh. We drove to the Herperduin, and Arwen and I had a lovely walk. The weather was good enough and it wasn't too busy yet, so Arwen and I could have a relaxing walk there.

After that, we had some relaxing time. I started the laundry, and when that was done, and I had some food, I started the dishwasher. Around 9, Arwen wanted walkies again. And she was lucky as her friend was out again as well. 😊

When we got back, I swept the floor and couch. Then I had some soup, and my friend texted me that she was getting ready too. We booted the PS5's and started up the NMS games. We played solo, but we chatted while we both started the new expedition. We played till it was time to get ready for last long walkies for me again.

The walkies were nice and the weather was a bit chilly. But when the sun was out and there wasn't too much wind, it wasn't too bad. Arwen got some splashes in again as well.

We watched some telly till it was time to get ready for bed. Arwen did a wee and then I took an extra painkiller and dived into my bed. It didn't take too long to fall asleep.

Woke once after about 4 hours for the loo. Then I woke about half an hour till the alarm, and I got up and started my day/night. 🌑

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

I think tonight’s quote sums up my relationship with Mrs S quite nicely …

“Erm.. dear, do I ride out for Apocalypses?' Mrs War took the lid off the saucepan and prodded viciously at something inside. 'No, dear,' she said firmly. 'You always come down with a cold.”
― Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time

Right off to walk thru an apocalypse, since riding is defo off the cards!

@tldr please do your thing for me 🤖.

I woke before the alarm. I got up, got to the scale, and while my health score was a bit lower, so was my weight. Yay. I got dressed, took my meds, and then cared for Arwen. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.

At the gym, I got through my notifications and chats, while I enjoyed my protein shake. When I checked it all and my meds had kicked in, I was ready to ride the seated bike. I managed half an hour and then my leg bummed out again. I had a massage in the chair and then I got ready to head back. It sometimes seems a waste to go to the gym when the drive is longer than my actual exercise time. But, the gym is more than that... And it means I can keep the routine as much as possible, to keep things "normal, as I know that I will have to abandon it for about 7 weeks in about two months...

I got back home and washed up. Changed clothes. Had brekky. And then Arwen and I got ready to head out. The weather was decent enough, not too cold, and it was dry. Arwen wanted a longer walkies so we did that. 😊 I uploaded some snaps to Pixelfed and I watched some of the "Stay Close" series, as I didn't really feel like writing for my blog now.

When we got back, I was tired and not in the mood for exercising some. So... I crashed on the couch and watched my series some more, as I was eager to know how it would end. I felt a bit bad about not exercising, but I also felt that I should listen to my body. We'd be our for a walk in the Herperduin later this morning, so I needed some energy for that...

I fixed some food and then Arwen and I headed for walkies. When we got back home, I got my eReader and I read in my new book till bestie called on her way to work. After the call, I read some more. And then Arwen was getting anxious, as she had seen me put the walkies towel next to the door, so she knew that we'd be heading out for walkies later. But usually, we go early, so she's not really used to waiting... Which drive me a bit nuts... So when our friend texted that they were finally (according to Arwen) heading towards the Herperduin, Arwen got more excited.

We headed there too after a while they came up the parking. We headed to the woods and had a lovely walk. I didn't take any snaps, so sorry, don't have anything so share... 😔 Was too busy chatting while playing with Arwen...

When we got back, I fixed food for Arwen and me. And then we just had to relax, as we were both worn out some from the walkies. And I was finally relieving some of the anxiety of the last day, with the call and the surgery news and all that. So now I started to worry a bit, of I could arrange everything properly, if there'd be enough help, if I could do this.... So yeah, that didn't really help me relax... 😔

When I finished the mini-series, I just got back to Downton, as I was too tired for something else. We relaxed till it was time to walk with N&B. We had a nice walk and Arwen had loads of splashes again. Because, you know, she had not been in the water in ages! 😂

We relaxed a bit on the couch till it was time to get ready for bed. Last wee for Arwen and all that. It didn't take too long for me to fall asleep. Woke once for the loo. And then again, an hour before the alarm, due to loud sounds, probably of a military cargo plane getting lower to land near Uden. So yeah, I was awake, and I got up...

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

Having been to Doncaster Wildlife Park today & jinxing myself by saying innocently “oooh it’s nice & quiet with all the kids in school”, then being near trampled to death by at least 6 coach loads of school trip participants I feel tonight’s quote is fairly apt! 😆

@tldr 🤖 please do your thing for me here! 😁

I woke about half an hour before the alarm. I got up, and the scale was a wee bit kinder to me. Ow, nice... 😊 I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food and let her out for a wee. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.

Caught up with social media while I was enjoying my protein shake (and while waiting for the meds to kick in). I got to the seated bike and rode for a bit. After 25 minutes I had to stop. When my leg was a bit better, I walked a short bit on the treadmill, just half a KM, but with a slight incline. I enjoyed a massage on the chair and then I headed back home again.

Washed up, had brekky, and got ready for walkies with Arwen. We had a nice walk and Arwen even rewarded me with a nice selfie. When we got back home, I changed clothes and headed to the hometrainer. I rode for half an hour. I finished my journal blog post and I started a new (to me) TV series on Netflix.

I watched "Totenfrau" a while and I fixed some food. Then Arwen wanted walkies again so we headed out again. When we got back, I changed clothes and walked half an hour on my treadmill. After that, I got the hoover and did the downstairs area. Then I got the mop out and I did the easy to reach bits with it. I was exhausted when I was done. But... I had done it! Yay me! 😁

I washed up, changed clothes, and then I tried to relax on the couch a bit. Arwen was annoying me for quite a while that she wanted out. But it was too early and I just needed a wee bit of rest before we'd be heading out again.

We had a nice walk and Arwen was lucky to see N&B again, as she scored some extra nomnoms. When we got back, I relaxed on the couch. I watched another series on Netflix, Stay Close, and I really liked it. So when that's done, I should get back to Totenfrau.

I fixed some food and then Arwen wanted walkies again. After which I got back to the couch as I felt so tired. Just when I was getting ready to head out with Arwen, I just texted N, my phone rang with an unknown number. I hesitantly answered, as I wasn't expecting the hospital for another 90 minutes. But it was the surgeon! There was no infection, we could schedule the surgery, the waiting in list was about 2 months... Ah ok... Anxiety over the call went, anxiety over the surgery began! 😂

We had a good walk with N&B. Then some relaxing until it was time for a last wee for Arwen. I was so tired... Went to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep. I got my eBook and didn't even get to read from it! I was exhausted...

Woke once for the loo and then again, half an hour before the alarm. So I got up and started my new day...

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

Tonight’s quote is cultural for a change, covering as it does the difference between art & not art:

“He knew in his heart that spinning upside down around a pole wearing a costume you could floss with definitely was not Art, and being painted lying on a bed wearing nothing but a smile and a small bunch of grapes was good solid Art, but putting your finger on why this was the case was a bit tricky.”

Good evening Squirrel Fans.

I feel that Rincewind & I share a lot of traits, journal keeping being one of them. I just glad that there are no blue tongued lizards in deepest, darkest Yorkshire!

“He’d decided to keep a journal in the hope that this might help. He looked at the recent entries. Probably Tuesday: hot, flies. Dinner: honey ants. Attacked by honey ants. Fell into waterhole. Wednesday, with any luck: hot, flies. Dinner: either bush raisins or kangaroo droppings. Chased by hunters, don’t know why. Fell into waterhole. Thursday (could be): hot, flies. Dinner: blue-tongued lizard. Savaged by blue-tongued lizard. Chased by different hunters. Fell off cliff, bounced into tree, pissed on by small grey incontinent teddy bear, landed in a waterhole. Friday: hot, flies. Dinner: some kind of roots which tasted like sick. This saved time. Saturday: hotter than yesterday, extra flies. V. thirsty. Sunday: hot. Delirious with thirst and flies. Nothing but nothing as far as the eye can see, with bushes in it. Decided to die, collapsed, fell down sand dune into waterhole.”
― Terry Pratchett, The Last Continent

Right off to bed, I’m knackered having driven the equivalent of twice around the globe thanks to Siri’s lack of navigation skills this afternoon! (Ok that might be a slight exaggeration).
