A1. Tooting from #VancouverIsland, the wet coast of #Canada!
Today's ride was errands, rushing out the door to pick up an order among other mundanities - like breakfast. But first, the order. Raced over, jumped off the bike and locked it up, thankful I didn't need to dig out my keys with this cable lock, ran in and picked up the order (why do they make you hurry to stand in line?) Get back to the bike…
Right, keys. At home.
Walking is good for you, too!
#FungiFriday - This is the type of photos where I spend more time in the field than in post-processing to obtain the result that I want. This is how I approach my work: take the time to properly capture the subject (light, settings, perspective, composition...) in order to avoid spending ''hours'' trying to fix mistakes in post-processing.
A lovely unnamed creek, meandering through a coastal temperate #rainforest in the Highlands area of #Wsanec territory. Very few old growth left in this forest; mostly 3rd growth & younger with a few 2nd growth trees mixed in. This is a great area to look for mushrooms.
From yesterday.
#Columbine foliage is emerging.
#Iris heads are pushing up.
The anniversary of my Dad's death from #covid cardiac arrest is coming up again in June. If anyone wants to support me & my family with our remembrance of my Dad & also help support us in long battle for justice from unmasked #SaanichPolice - please add me on your Signal - phoenixserenity.54
I'd like to compile a bunch of audio messages & any kind of artwork for this year's ceremony of beloved remembrance for my Dad. He died after getting infected by unmasked staff in local hospital. Unmasked cops, including the lead cop, Jason Whittaker - who is president of the SPD union abused us. I also want to compile something to let Saanich PD know - I am not fucking letting this go.
Please record:
Fuck you, Jason Whittaker & add whatever you want to rest of audio recording.
Please create Fuck You, Jason Whittaker or similar messages to #Saanich Police & tell them what you think of their antimasking egotistical loser of a 'leader' they chose to represent them.

What you see here is a gull ''walking'' on the water while pursuing a sea lion that is underwater. We can see the back of the sea lion while it's foraging for herring in the shallow waters. The gull hopes to steal the herring from the sea lion when it emerges. This is a good example of stalking in the natural world.
If you live in #Saanich / #VictoriaBC / #YYJ area & need nice used clothes - I'm doing wardrobe cleanups over 2 weeks in mid April & will have several fashionable clothing items, shoes/boots plus accessories to give away to local folks who want some free styles for themselves or someone you know.
Petite sizes & would fit smaller sized women who wear sizes 00/XXS-XS. Shoes are size 8.
I'll post pics in April
At Fisher Building orthotics.

One of our favourite places to go for a hike is the many nearby trails of Forbidden Plateau, and we often come across these curious birds who never say no to a snack.
I don't usually photograph the sunrise or sunset but how could I ignore such a spectacular sunrise over the Salish Sea, last week?
Someone asked for buffleheads? Here they are enjoying the bounty of the herring spawn, which explains the colour of the sea.
Bufflehead's rippling effect on the golden pond.
