Charlie McHenry<p>Though I don’t celebrate the religious aspect of the holiday season, I do love inspirational <a href="https://connectop.us/tags/ChoralMusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ChoralMusic</span></a> - and that means I listen to some liturgical tunes. I particularly love the work of Morten Lauridsen, a contemporary composer and former USC professor who was resident composer for the Los Angeles Master Chorale for a term. HIs “Magnum Mysterium” is glorious, a real masterpiece of choral composing. The Chorale does the best large ensemble version of the piece. This version is from the world’s best small choral ensemble <a href="https://connectop.us/tags/Voces8" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Voces8</span></a> and if you like this sort of thing, you’ll love this <a href="https://connectop.us/tags/MusicVideo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MusicVideo</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://youtube.com/watch?v=tZ-nuU-hda8&si=ZuR9FjCCWqXXTbij" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=tZ-nuU-hda</span><span class="invisible">8&si=ZuR9FjCCWqXXTbij</span></a></p>
