Espechally since the only <em>"regulated"</em> part are transmitters and those are just transparent cheap boxes, so <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/AFSK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AFSK</span></a> will be fine.</li></ul><p>OFC one could use this across any spectrum or means, ranging from WSJT - moonbouncing at extreme narrowband and high frequences to <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/UHFSATCOM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>UHFSATCOM</span></a> radio piracy. hambitious<p>Has anyone been able to program a SA818 board? I've tried a few different ways (Python sa818, a C version of the same thing) and it just won't work. I never get a response to the connect message.</p><p>I'm starting to suspect it's the USB-serial dongle that came with it. hambitious<p>Took my Quansheng on an activation this morning. Made an 80 mile contact on FM, then we switched to SSB. Our history dates back to at least 1912 with the callsigns 5AC and 5XB at what was then the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas.</p><p>In the past, we have done an early play by play coverage of a football game in 1921, chess matches with N5XU in Austin, and long telegrams with our Model 19 teletype on <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/rtty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rtty</span></a> </p><p>Currently, our members are interested in <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/hf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hf</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/vhf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vhf</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/digital" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>digital</span></a>, and many more topics.</p>
Ed W8EMV :radio_tower:<p>Inconclusive, but I think there was a 2 meter band opening between Michigan and Ohio this am based on the indistinct sounds I heard on 145.15-.</p><p>There must be something that monitors this, maybe using APRS reception?
