Declan Rice said on Tuesday he believes Arsenal are close to winning major trophies and that, once they get over the line the first time, more will follow.

He may be right but after their exit in Paris, this group has still to shake that monkey off their back.

Bukayo Saka’s late goal did end a run of six consecutive semi-final legs in all competitions in which Arsenal had failed to score, but one was never going to be enough at Parc des Princes and so it proved.

Five years after losing the Champions League final against Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain have another shot at being crowned champions of Europe.

Luis Enrique's side beat Arsenal 2-1 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate to progress in the French capital.

Save the date. PSG will face Inter in the Champions League final in Munich on May 31.

Arsenal have been watching United games in preparation for this PSG match. Unfortunately they've taken them as "what to do" tutorials instead of "absolutely do not play like this" warnings. Constantly giving the ball away, faffing about with tippy-tappy passes (which leads to #1) instead of just going forwards, occasional wild long passes with no-one on the end of them, etc.

I reckon a PSG win is a foregone conclusion but I also wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal fail to score given their first 40 minutes (Donnarumma's heroics notwithstanding.)
